Subang Succor Lapu-Lapu Completes Turnover of Relief Goods and More Than PHP1 Million in Donations

Subang Philippines, through its Community Affairs Department, completed the official turnover of relief goods and monetary donations gathered through Subang Succor Lapu-Lapu on December 24, 2023 for families affected by a fire in Barangay Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City on December 12.

The donation drive brought together six participating Sangguniang Kabataan Federations from Dumanjug, Barili, Aloguinsan, Pinamungajan, the City of Toledo, and Balamban, together with the Guild of Enthusiastic Agriculturists of Cebu Technological University - Barili Campus.

The in-kind donations turned over to affected families included 14 assorted grocery boxes, eight boxes of mineral water, three sacks of rice, three bags of towels, and one bag and sack of hygiene kits, along with other essential items gathered during the campaign.

Separately from the donated goods, the City of Toledo contributed a monetary donation amounting to more than PHP1 million. The financial assistance provided additional support that could be directed toward the immediate needs of affected families.

The turnover marked the culmination of the donation drive and demonstrated how youth organizations, student groups, and community partners can mobilize resources in response to communities affected by emergencies.

Subang Succor Lapu-Lapu reflected Subang Philippines' commitment to community service and volunteer-led action, bringing together different organizations to provide practical assistance during a difficult period for affected families.
