Subang - Siquijor Supports Batang Malaya Campaign in Maria

Subang - Siquijor joined government agencies, local offices, and community partners in supporting the Batang Malaya campaign in Maria, Siquijor, on November 26, 2024.

The activity was led by the Department of Labor and Employment - Siquijor and brought together partners including the National Council Against Child Labor Philippines, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Provincial Government of Siquijor, and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority - Lazi Technical Institute.

Local partners included the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, Local Government Unit of Maria, Public Employment Service Office, Sangguniang Kabataan of Maria, and the Office of Board Member Brylle Deeiah Tumarong-Quio.

Subang - Siquijor contributed through children's games and volunteer engagement, supporting the campaign's broader effort to promote children's rights and address child labor.

TESDA also provided parents with technical skills training, including cooking, as part of efforts to strengthen livelihood opportunities.

Subang's participation reflected its continuing involvement in youth and community initiatives that connect volunteerism with social responsibility and community support.
