Subang - Province of Siquijor Brings Feeding and Environmental Education to Tignao

Subang - Province of Siquijor and the Sangguniang Kabataan of Tignao, Lazi, conducted a community outreach program on June 22, 2024, combining food assistance, children's activities, and environmental and health education.

The morning activity, "Health in the Heat: Summer Feeding Program," was held in Sitio Estrillia and was led by SPS Community Affairs Department Deputy Director Niño Sierras. Children received nutritious meals and participated in games, while Mylene Grace Sumagang facilitated a discussion on staying safe and healthy during periods of high heat.

In the afternoon, the program moved to Sitio Bunacan for "Feeding Hope for Tomorrow: One Meal at a Time," led by SPS Environmental Affairs Department Deputy Director Jarrale G. Jaralve. The activity paired meal distribution with a discussion on environmental stewardship.

The outreach also extended to remote areas within Barangay Tignao, where volunteers distributed food to local residents.

Subang Executive President Peter John C. Enorio and SPS Provincial Director Dyn Michael M. Lozana were among the Subang leaders present during the activities. The initiative demonstrated the chapter's approach of combining direct community support with practical learning and youth participation.
