Subang Participates in Joint Maritime Patrol Operations in Siquijor

Subang representatives joined government agencies and provincial stakeholders during joint maritime patrol operations in Siquijor on June 18, 2024, supporting a coordinated effort focused on maritime safety and the protection of coastal communities.

The operations were led by the Philippine Coast Guard, with the patrol vessel BRP Cape San Agustin (MRRV-4408) operating under the command of CG Captain George P. Maganto. The Philippine Coast Guard Station in Siquijor coordinated the activity with personnel from the Philippine National Police and Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Provincial partners included the Provincial Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Office and the Provincial Youth Development Office. Their participation reflected the broader role of coordination and preparedness in responding to risks affecting coastal communities.

Representing Subang were Executive President Peter John C. Enorio and Subang - Province of Siquijor Education Director Nikki Lois O. Villas. Their participation provided a youth and community development presence in the multi-agency activity.

The joint patrol demonstrated the importance of coordination among government agencies, provincial offices, and community stakeholders in promoting maritime safety and preparedness in Siquijor.
