Learning Permaculture: Subang - CTU and Pagtambayayong Training

On January 27, 2025, Subang - Cebu Technological University Chapter and Pagtambayayong - A Foundation for Mutual Aid, Inc. conducted a Permaculture Training in Cagay, Barili, Cebu.

The training covered permaculture layouting, theoretical principles, and site application, giving participants practical exposure to regenerative approaches to agriculture. One of the key components was the use of the swale method for water management and soil conservation.

The training was led by Roberto L. Bajenting, formerly of the Department of Agrarian Reform - Province of Cebu, with assistance from Arturo Villanueva and his family.

Participants from Subang included Peter John C. Enorio, Sean B. Tellidua, Shaina Faith D. Visorro, Dennis B. Bendulo, and volunteer interns Queenelene Faith N. Perpetua, James Adam P. Posas, and Karen L. Defuntorum. The activity was supervised by Subang Adviser Dr. Pet Roey L. Pascual.

The collaboration provided volunteers and participants with practical knowledge on permaculture and agroforestry while strengthening shared efforts toward sustainable agriculture and food security.
