Learning Through Propagation: Black Bamboo Orientation for BEEd Students

On November 29, 2024, Subang - Cebu Technological University Chapter conducted an orientation, demonstration, and propagation activity focused on black bamboo (Phyllostachys nigra) at the CTU-Barili Campus.

Subang President Peter John C. Enorio and Human Resource Director Dennis B. Bendulo facilitated the session, which was attended by Bachelor of Elementary Education students Genevieve Mae Dumagpe and Jonit Dingal.

The activity introduced participants to the practical process of bamboo propagation and provided an opportunity to learn through direct participation. By combining discussion with demonstration and hands-on work, the session connected environmental concepts with skills that participants could apply in future community or educational settings.

The activity formed part of Subang - CTU's continuing effort to integrate environmental stewardship with volunteer learning and skills development.
