Strengthening Sustainability Through Bamboo Propagation

On November 9, 2024, Subang - Cebu Technological University Chapter, in collaboration with NSTP trainees of Cebu Technological University - Barili Campus, conducted a Bamboo Propagation Orientation from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

The session opened with a discussion led by Subang - CTU President Peter John C. Enorio on the environmental, economic, and infrastructural importance of bamboo. The discussion also introduced participants to practical techniques for propagating bamboo and establishing planting materials.

The orientation continued with a hands-on demonstration of bamboo propagation, followed by a tour of pre-propagated bamboo specimens. The activity allowed participants to connect the concepts discussed during the session with actual propagation materials and growing practices.

With the support of CWTS and LTS staff, Subang officers, and volunteers, the activity provided NSTP trainees with practical knowledge that can contribute to environmental stewardship and sustainable resource use.
