Propagating Black Bamboo with CWTS Trainees

On February 1, 2025, Cebu Technological University and Subang - Cebu Technological University conducted another Black Bamboo (Phyllostachys nigra) propagation session in collaboration with CWTS trainees at CTU-Barili Campus.

More than 100 black bamboo plants were propagated during the activity, providing CWTS trainees with hands-on experience in plant propagation and environmental stewardship.

The session was led by Subang Executive President Peter John C. Enorio, with Subang - Province of Cebu Acting Provincial Director Krista Marie Frances C. Bicada, Subang - CTU Science and Technology Vice President Shaina Faith D. Visorro, CTU-Barili CWTS Student Staff Dave M. Baran, and Subang - CTU Volunteer Intern Dhemae D. Libusana participating in the activity.

The propagation session formed part of the continuing environmental work of CTU-Barili and Subang - CTU, connecting volunteer participation, experiential learning, and campus-based ecological initiatives.
