CTU-Barili Strengthens Environmental Stewardship Through 'Adopt a Hectare' Project
CWTS trainees and Subang - CTU volunteers continued the Adopt a Hectare project through site maintenance and care for growing trees at CTU-Barili.
Environmental stewardship efforts at Cebu Technological University - Barili Campus continued on April 26, 2025, through another maintenance activity under the Adopt a Hectare project.
CWTS trainees and volunteers worked together to maintain the project area and care for growing trees, including soursop, berries, Java apple, and jackfruit.
The activity was led by Shaina Faith D. Visorro, John Gielai O. Sedentario, and Gissa Mae C. Castino, with support from CWTS staff Dave M. Baran, Jan Emmanuel Lausa, Eden F. Nemeño, and Feil Hurvey C. Avenido.
Regular maintenance allows participants to continue caring for trees beyond their initial planting and supports the long-term development of the Adopt a Hectare project as a campus-based environmental initiative.
